Rouge soon arrived at Twinkle Park. It was very bright and flashy. "Well.. this will be a nice change of pace," she said lowly, looking around for Amy. "I wonder where she is..?" She then heard someone call out her name, clear as day.
"ROUGE!! Oh, you came!" Rouge felt someone tackle hug her from behind. She turned to see Amy, who was relieved to see her. "I'm so glad! It was getting cold, and I was worried…" Rouge rolled her eyes. "Amy, why wouldn't I come? I said I would! Now.." she winked at her. "Cheer up! It's out night out tonight, enjoy it." Amy smiled, and cheered. Rouge was slightly embarrassed by the attention Amy brought to them, but.. she thought it would be nice to be noticed for once, instead of sneaking around at work all day.
"So.. is that the entrance over there?" Rouge asked, pointing to a gate. Amy nodded and grabbed her arm, tugging her closer to the entrance. When they were only a few feet away, Amy suddenly stopped. She dropped Rouge's hand.
"Wh.. what is it?" Rouge asked her, puzzled by Amy's weird behaviour. "Oopsie.." Amy said, her voice trailing off and becoming quieter as she spoke. "I forgot.. I didn't buy any tickets, because I thought me and Sonic would get in for free.." She pointed to a sign that read 'cute couples get in for free!'
Rouge looked up at it, then around the rest of the park entrance. It was bright. Colourful.
Happy. She then looked to Amy, who looked dejected and upset.
"Okay, so?" Rouge said bluntly. Amy looked at her, surprised and confused. She looked like she wanted Rouge to say more, and waited anxiously for a response. Rouge smiled a little. "Who says we aren't a cute couple?"
"Rouge!! I-I-" Amy was startled. Rouge put her finger to her own lips. "Keep quiet and follow my lead."
"But-"
"It's okay. Just do as I do." She began to walk towards the ticket counter, and Amy followed right behind her. When the ticket collector looked at them, Rouge winked to her. Amy saw, and then gave the collector a small wave. The collector smiled and let them in.
"See? That wasn't so bad." Rouge said, calmly. She was used to this sort of thing. Amy paused, then smiled very widely. "Ooh Rouge, I KNEW it! I knew you'd know the answer!!" She laughed a little, holding back the tears she had been holding since she had forgotten tickets. "She's so emotional.." Rouge thought. But she just nodded to Amy. "So.. where to?"
